MY STORY

About Me

Hey there! Me again. Writing an “About Me” page feels a little surreal, but I’m flattered you’re here! Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?

As a kid, I was extreme—just ask my mom. Whether it was attending preschool in full princess gear (head to toe sparkles and high heels, of course) or decorating my dinner plate more than eating it, I’ve always had a flair for the colorful and creative. That same passion carries over into my life today, though now I channel it into my kitchen and family.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart, Greg, and we have three beautiful kids. Greg works hard to support our family, and I’m lucky to spend most my days at home with our children. A lot of our time is spent in the kitchen—getting messy, laughing, and eating really good food. My kids are constant sources of inspiration, coming up with fun, creative ideas like today’s request for “Christmas Crepes” cut like snowflakes and topped with powdered sugar.

If there’s one thing my kids have taught me, it’s that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. My kitchen is rarely spotless, my dishes usually piled high, but the memories we make far outweigh the mess. Watching my kids experiment with new recipes, get creative, and (sometimes!) eat their veggies has been one of the highlights of this stage of life.

My love for food started young. I’ve always been fascinated by vibrant, nutrient-dense ingredients and how they can nourish the body and soul. While I’m not a dietitian or a professional chef, I’ve picked up a few tricks along the way—like sneaking greens into meals my kids actually love and making everyday food more: more flavor, more nutrients, more joy.

At the heart of it all is my faith. As members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, my family and I strive to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ—serving others, spreading kindness, and lifting those around us. My greatest hope is to raise children who are creative, confident, hardworking, and always willing to lend a hand.

Thank you for stopping by Sabrina’s Colorful Kitchen. Sabrina
